12th State of the Bay Symposium

The Galveston Bay Estuary Program (GBEP) would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in the 12th State of the Bay Symposium and for helping us make the event a success. The presentations from the symposium will be posted on the GBEP website soon.

Estuary Resilience Action Plan (ERAP)

The Estuary Resilience Action Plan ( ERAP ) was created to identify potential stressors to Galveston Bay, what the probabilities and consequences of those stressors could be, and how those stressors could impact the implementation of the Galveston Bay Plan and influence future Plan updates. Input was received from a workgroup of state and federal agencies, universities, and non-profit organizations; all with specific expertise in fields relating to coastal resilience. The Houston Advanced Research Center managed the project and produced the ERAP, which was approved by the EPA in February 2024.
